Let me give you a few backgrounds of myself on how I choose to be a Virtual Assistant

, I'm Nhorie Fe Abalos a single mom working in Doha, Qatar. I've been in the Retail Industry for 14 years I have worked for 6 years in Marzooq Shamlan Holdings (catering different brands of watches like Rado, Tissot, Citizen and other fashion brand watches) and currently I'm part of Vodafone Qatar as a retail advisor (we do data entry, modifying clients account, customer service, e-mail support, etch). And the other years of working experience I spent in the Philippines in Wizer Industries Inc. (Also caters branded watches like Tissot, Rado, Citizen, Tommy Hilfiger, Juicy Couture and other fashion and watch maker brand).

As an OFW learning on how to blend on the culture your in, was one of the toughest concerns that you'll face while working abroad. And once you get through it, there's this so called HOME SICK syndrome that even you stay for long in that foreign country you'll still want to go back home. Specially during the special occasion like family event, birthday, graduation public holidays, but all you can do is just browse Facebook pictures, do likes and comment and at the back of your mind you're wishing that I should be there.

And as a Mom looking at the pictures of my son and seeing how he grow so fast made me wonder how this happen? I want to be part of his teenage life! I have to do something so I can settle on his side while giving the life that I want for him.

Innovating myself was my top priority while I'm working, I take courses that will enhance my self.

. And gather certificates to the things I love to do and skills I want to develop. After a while of taking breaks on getting courses because of COVID 19 most of the businesses closed as well as training centers for precautionary measure here in Qatar. The company also instructs us to work remotely during Friday and Saturdays as per adherence to Qatar Law, so during those days our task is to do lead generation of our new services/Home internet plans. It gave me the idea to work remotely and earn while at home. So I look for a reputable online training center in the Philipines and I bumped to page of the Filipino Virtual Assistance Academy.

I didn't think twice to enroll at FVA academy

And this is the decision that I'm really proud of having an innovative learning tools and a Coach that was so inspiring and supportive on every step that we make. Being a Virtual Assistant help me realize that I am something more, I can do something more while staying at home and seeing my son on his daily life. That's why I choose to be a virtual assistant and have a limitless of growth on my finances, career path and more time with my family.
